Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer free a consultation?

I gladly offer a free 15-20 minute phone consultation, in order to determine if we are a good fit. You’ll be able to ask me any questions that you may have, and I can learn about your situation to determine if my skill sets match your needs.

Do you only provide services to women?

Definitely not! I work with all genders, including those who identify as gender non-binary. Although my specialty is women’s mental health, I also treat other populations, including men, children, adolescents, and the LGBTQ+ community.

What can I expect to get out of therapy?

This depends on your goals and your reason for seeking out therapy–I will be able to better answer this question once I learn about your situation. Generally, my clients attend therapy to heal deep rooted issues, to break a vicious cycle, or to develop healthier coping skills. Regardless of what is going on for you, hopefully therapy can help relieve your pain by bringing you a sense of clarity, relief, and confidence in your own abilities to overcome your current obstacles.

What types of therapy do you offer?

I offer therapy for individuals, couples, families, adults, teens and adolescents. Generally I offer therapy for depression, anxiety, emotional balance, self-esteem enhancement, coping skills, and communication skills. Please read more about my specialties on the Services page.

How long does it take to feel better?

This varies from person to person. Some people feel a sense of relief after the first session, while for others it may take multiple sessions to start feeling a shift.

How can I know if we are good match?

This is a great question… it’s important to feel comfortable and safe with your therapist. The best way to know if we are a match is by doing a free consultation so we can speak and get a feel for each other. Usually we can determine if we’d be a good match after one conversation. Please feel free to request a free consultation by contacting me online or calling 818-539-7383.
